Lecturer in Sociology

Open University -
Faculty of Social Sciences

£30,424- £36,298

Temporary contract for 36 months

Based in Milton Keynes

The Department of Sociology wishes to appoint a full time lecturer who 
will strengthen the basis of both its teaching and research. 
Applications are invited from those who have teaching and research 
experience in research methods, particularly quantitative methods.

You will have a PhD, or equivalent, in Sociology or a related discipline 
as well as a developing profile of teaching experience in Sociology. You 
will be able to teach social research methods including some aspects of 
quantitative research.

You will also have a developing research profile that complements or 
extends the work of academic staff within the department. Experience of 
distance-learning teaching and module production would be advantageous 
though it is not essential.
