Call for Expressions of Interest: Senior Lecturer in Human Geography
As part of a programme of investment, the School of the Environment is recruiting to a Senior Lecturer in Human Geography and is seeking an internationally recognised scholar to contribute to the School’s developing research agenda (outstanding applicants may also be considered for a Readership). The person appointed will have a research profile in any aspect of human geography, although those with complementary interests to the themes of Risk, Resilience and Social Justice are especially welcome to record their interest.
A commitment to knowledge exchange and engagement with policy and practice are important requirements of this post.
The person appointed will contribute to the Space and Society Research Group and postgraduate development at Masters and PhD levels, including the ESRC-accredited Masters programmes that contribute to the Human Geography and Families and Demography pathways in the Scottish Doctoral Training Centre. There will also be opportunities to engage in University and Scottish-wide initiatives, including the Centre for Environmental Change and Human Resilience, the Social Dimensions of Health Institute and the Scottish Institute for Policing Research where geographers are centrally involved.
Further details of Geography at Dundee and current staff research interests can be found at: http://www.dundee.ac.uk/geography/
Informal enquiries and expressions of interest are warmly welcomed and should be made to Professor Nick Fyfe ([log in to unmask]) by 4 February 2013.
