Empire and Commonwealth Games history: call for papers
I am developing a plan to edit a special Empire and Commonwealth Games themed issue of the Taylor & Francis/BSSH journal "Sport in History" for publication in early 2015. I am interested in hearing from any scholars who are working on any themes in this area, including the history of specific Games, identity issues, the local history of Empire/Commonwealth Games host cities, political issues, gender issues, the history of particular sports within the Empire/Commonwealth Games, and anything else that will help us to understand the wider history of this movement. Articles need to be c8,000 words long, and the deadline for submission will be late 2014.
If you are interested in getting involved, then please contact me as soon as possible so that we can start discussing your idea.

I look forward to hearing from you.
