Two associate lecturer opportunities in the dept. of Media Arts & Communication at Sheffield Hallam University.
We're looking for experienced lecturers with either a research profile or significant professional experience related to the subjects below. Both opportunities are for semester 2 of this academic year starting at the end of January 2013.
1.Persuasion, Promotion, Propaganda. This module aims to develop an understanding of the major theoretical perspectives on persuasion within communication studies, social psychology and cultural studies. It is a level 6 module taught on Monday afternoons (with one seminar group on Tuesday afternoons).
2.Comparative Analysis of International Media. This module aims to examine, in a comparative way, the development of several national media systems, including their historical context and current challenges, opportunities and strategies. It is a level 7 module taught on Tuesday mornings, 9am start.

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
