As many in the LIS communities know, my social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin) have been repeatedly targeted with very disgusting social spam, social engineered attacks, impersonation and so on and so on for years. The decision to close them all was very sad - but inevitable, irreversible and in some way very relievable.
Anyway, on the positive side I have now a business case to reinvent social media - if anybody is interested!
On the negative side, I must say that I have been 'on line' for such a huge part of my life since the late 1980s, that even if I do not have anymore such an important business need to be 'on line' in real time, 'always on' etc etc, not having a Twitter account or seeing my Linkedin account constantly bombarded with defamatory behavioural advertising made me feeling... as I had a sort of impairment. Not to say the feeling of having completely denied my freedom of expression, the simple desire to say something to the online world in real time or to advertise my consultancy and express my aversion to social spam and hate discourse over the internet.
I am delighted to say that I have found a way to have that desire and expectation satisfied. I started my own microblog page, called BRWITTER! Et voila':

All invited to bookmark the page that is going to be updated randomly but I am sure persistently.
