Dear all
Free tickets for the Library Camp London event are now available from the Eventbrite site. http://libcampldn.eventbrite.co.uk/
Senate House Library (University of London) will be hosting this event on Saturday 2nd March, 2013. It will start at about 10:00am with session pitches for the day and is likely to run until 4:30pm.
Further details of the event can be found at: http://libcampldn.wikispaces.com/
Even though it is hosted by University of London it is an event aimed at anyone with an interest in libraries, regardless of the library sector they may work in. It would be great to have people working/studying in any (and all) library sectors attend.
This will be an unconference style event. There are no Powerpoint presentations or conference papers. No formal speakers are asked to present at the event, but the people attending are asked to suggest areas they want to run sessions on. Anyone can suggest a session to be run during the day, as long as it's related to the libraries theme. The emphasis is on running sessions that encourage participation & discussion from those attending the session. If you have an idea for a session to be run feel free to record this ahead of time on the session page of the site. http://libcampldn.wikispaces.com/Session+Pitches You don't have to do this, but mentioning it beforehand means you can get people thinking about the sessions before attending and you can also connect with others who may have similar ideas and co-facilitate a session with them. The programme for the day is not set until the morning of the event.
NB: You don't need to create a login on the site to add information to the session pitches page.
If you use Twitter the hashtag for the event is: #libcampldn
