We do not seem to be making our expected contribution to the BSA 2013 annual conference. I hope this is not down to me failing to chase people up – but it does seem that ‘lack of interest’ is the explanation. There is still time for us to get a session or sessions together because the conference administration expect cancellations and withdrawals to create enough slots for additional contributions. Michael circulated a really interesting note on fragmentation of our field of study and I was expecting to see responses to this and to assemble a panel for discussion of contributions under that theme.
So it’s not too late just yet – may I ask if anyone is still considering making a submission, has submitted to another stream, or is still thinking about addressing the theme of fragmentation? I’d be very disappointed if we could not put something valuable together even at this stage.
