The Department of Modern History, Politics and International Relations is a dynamic interdisciplinary department offering a range of programs which includes Open University Australia (OUA) units of study. The Department is seeking an enthusiastic lecturer with a proven ability to convene and teach units at undergraduate/postgraduate level and to manage and deliver OUA units including liaising with colleagues to allocate work within department guidelines. The successful candidate will need to undertake research, publications and grant applications and contribute to the administration of the department. They will also be expected to maintain a pattern of research and teaching, and will over time be expected to teach both OUA and non-OUA units.
Selection Criteria
To be considered for this position applicants must respond to the
selection criteria below and attach as a separate document in the

* PhD in Politics or International Relations or a related discipline
* Experience in unit or program design in an Open University environment
* Demonstrated capacity to manage and deliver online programs, especially
OUA
* Demonstrated capacity to contribute to department's publications and
grant bids
* Capacity to contribute to departmental administration and service
* Evidence of an established research career in scholarly publications
Salary Package: from $85,295 - $100,919 p.a. (Level B), plus 17%
employer's superannuation and annual leave loading
