It notes "Benelong's Haven, the rehabilitation centre she started in
1974...In 1976, due to increasing demand and a desire to find a country
location for the therapeutic community, Benelong's moved to the then
derelict Kinchela Boys' Home on the river bank near Kempsey. The
property was gradually rebuilt by clients while they participated in the
program...."
