Wolverhampton and Walsall data with all of its polygons, polylines, points etc is available on the Black Country history website (http://blackcountryhistory.org/). This is, however, an add on to an existing website which holds data from all of the Black Country archives and museums. Hence it has the advantage that if you search for say a particular building you will get all of the archive and museum holdings regarding this as well as the HER record. On the other hand the actual HER element still needs development to make it 'user-friendly'.
As regards HERs on web I would have thought Warwickshire were around the first but we await to hear from them. Where are you Ben?

Mike

That could be a winner, Nick. We went on line in late 2003 - but I suspect that we may have been the first with detailed digital mapping. We may still be the only one - does anyone else exhibit their polygons so shamelessly?

Aye up, Festive office decoration have instilled a light hearted frame of mind, despite my best efforts (Humbug!), hence this email
So, anyway, whilst rummaging through some old files for some information, I came across a titbit of information that Durham SMR may have been the first online - that was the claim - and it went online in April 2000. I remember at the last forum vague murmurings that Warwickshire went online first - do we got you beat, Ben?
This was without HLF funding, but as part of a bid for our Keys to the Past HLF site which went online in about 2003
best wishes
