Hi Zooarchers
A worked skullcap of a neonate calf was found in a Middle-Roman
period ditch from the artificial dwelling mound Arkum (The
Netherlands). The hole seems to have been drilled from the inside of
the skull. I was wondering if anyone has ever encountered a similar
object. There are similar objects made from human skulls but those are
generally very worn by use.
