About the seminar:
This seminar will discuss the project development and lessons learnt in delivering, monitoring and evaluating an inter-generational active travel pilot project and its progression through to a commissioned product.
About the presenter:
James trained and worked as an engineer before joining Sustrans in 2007. He was responsible for infrastructure projects in the North East which created safe links to schools and communities. James is now in charge of active travel projects in the region which work towards modal shift through behaviour change activities in schools, communities and workplaces.
Matthew is responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of Sustrans work with education & young people, including infrastructure projects such as Links to Schools and behaviour change projects including Bike It and FEAT 1st. Prior to joining Sustrans in 2010, Matthew worked for Big Lottery Fund where he worked as part of a team monitoring community projects throughout the North East.

The Cassie Building is building number 49 on the Campus Map and is about a 5-10 minute walk from Haymarket metro/bus interchange or Jesmond metro station, both of which are easily accessible from Newcastle Central station or Newcastle International Airport.
