I'm saddened by the death, but elated by the life. My first glimpse of
Carter in the flesh, so to speak, was at that small hall at Carnegie Hall
on the occasion of the first NYC performance of his first string quartet.
And that was back when we were both about fifty years younger.
Mastering this universe one Higgs boson at a time.
