Nicely put Amber - as a Libran(*) myself (I guess) I've got nothing but
respect for anyone who decides to make knowledge freely available to
others. And although my position is that more openness brings more
benefit, I know that this isn't true in all cases.
I'd be interested to read stories and anecdotes concerning successful
legal action taken by those who release "gratis" materials that are
subsequently re-purposed in a "libre" way.
(* actually, I'm an aquarius...)
