Hi All,
Thought you would like to know how it turned out with my Mr Back Pain.
Well he met with Senior Manager and Hr as he appealed against the adjustments. They have decided they feel that the adjustments are fair and reasonable and he now needs to decide if he wishes to take them....
Manager less stressed as he is finally getting support.
So looks like matter will close out with man either working 4 hours per day Mon - Fri or leave.
He only had Anxiety because of not wanting the adjustments and change and the delay in getting HR to come down and deal with the case etc. He doesn't have any chronic Mental health history.
Also as we all know sometimes people want what they think is good for them and it isn't. His reason for wanting less days and longer were because his wife doesn't drive and works at the same place so it meant he didn't have to drive as much. It was not for his back but for his own travel convenience. Not a good rationale for managing his back pain though... Also working 3 days on the trot and having 4 days suited his external life.
Always good to hear what happens.
I think its a fair result all round.
Dawn
