Hi Jem
We use Profile Manager which comes as part of OSX server as it was free. For deploying apps we had to set the devices up with Configurator and send a dummy app (Chrome) to the device. We then auto enrol the devices to profile manager and then manage them using groups which then sends out the policies and apps to the device. Works a treat.

Subject: Mobile Device Management
We are looking at MDM solutions for managing institution-owned iOS and Android devices on our campus wireless network and also roaming the big wide world, including getting lost or stolen and needing remote wipe.
Has anyone implemented MDM already, and if so, what system did you choose, why did you choose that one, what else did you consider and reject, and what has your experience been so far?
And finally, apart from this list, where would you expect to see MDM solutions in UK Universities being discussed?
Thanks for your help!
Jem Taylor
