Hi All
In a recent application that I made I stated that I understood that the mill at King Edward Mine (KEM) here in Cornwall is “the oldest complete working tin concentration (mill) in the world “
For those not familiar with the mill at KEM. it was built 1900-04 and, whilst a partial reconstruction, much of it is original including the Californian stamps and the buildings. Other ‘restored’ equipment includes dipper wheels, a Frue Vanner, shaking tables, a Cornish round frame, rag frames, tossing & packing gear and a buddle.
Does anyone know of any other similar or older tin plant anywhere in the world?
Regards
Tony Brooks
