Hi all,
We're planning to commission a large scale usability study for www.kew.org<http://www.kew.org> and I was wondering if anyone has any experience of doing this?
In brief, following a series of revised organisational priorities, Kew's website must now work much harder to promote the visitor offer and drive revenue, in particular via tickets sales for Kew Gardens, donations, membership, school visits and commercial product sales. Another priority is to increase Kew's reach and impact via enewsletters and our four official social media channels - on Facebook, twitter, Flickr and YouTube. The commission will cover design, functionality and content and the outcome will be a series of recommendations for improving the effectiveness of www.kew.org<http://www.kew.org> in:
· Enabling users to find the information they are looking for quickly and easily
· Increasing traffic to revenue generating points on www.kew.org<http://www.kew.org> and improving associated conversion rates
· Increasing sign ups to Kew's CRM services
· Communicating the brand consistently online (as far as possible)
I'd be really grateful for some advice around scoping the detail of the study - to ensure the commission brief is clear about the outcomes we're after. I'd also like some advice on the size of budget we would need to do this properly, whilst achieving value for money. An initial recommendation was around £30'000.

Thanks everyone, I look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
Claire
