I can't find an idea to that effect (though that doesn't mean it's not there), but if anyone can point me to it I'd vote! I find the vagueness frustrating too

That is my understanding of how mouse-over works... and it gives me an opportunity to restate how much I dislike the 'about' approach to date and timestamp display. I'm not sure I ever properly understood what web model the lack-of-precision approach to date/time display came from (as it's not an approach that Twitter, Facebook, Amazon, et al take).
Perhaps the display options could be flipped around so that the standard was the actual date/time and when you floated your mouse over it it said something helpful like 'some time in the past'? : )
I know, I know - submit an Idea to that effect. I'm pretty sure I did. I think it was 'about a year ago'...

Subject: Re: [LIS-TALIS-ASPIRE] List creation/update timestamps
Andy,
A brief response (I'm not in office at the moment so can't provide anything fuller) but one useful tip is if you hover your mouse pointer over the date for a second or so, you'll see the actual timestamp - think this works for any 'about x days/month/years' ago statement.
Cheers
Ian
