Hi,
Services at the RAL Tier1 were recovered at the end of last week. However, we are still running a reduced batch service (of the order of 60% capacity at the moment). We anticipate that this will rise and be around 80% capacity for much of this week as we resolve the current issues and complete the migration to EMI-2 worker nodes.
We also have a reduced number of tape drives (around 50%) enabled following the failure of numerous power supplies during last week's incident. Some replacements have now been obtained. We are monitoring the tape system and aim to make some increase in tape throughput in the next day.
The lack of resilience remains in some areas such as database systems. Whilst we are running services such as Castor and FTS at full capacity we are vulnerable to further failures. Work is ongoing to obtain replacement equipment (power supplies etc.) to improve the resilience.
