Our client are primarily a projects based business, providing technical consultancy & solutions to the UK market (in the main) and are seeking the right individual to join their growing team in Epsom. 

We require a GIS Technical Consultant who will report to a Project Manager to provide support across the project lifecycle. Clients are normally based in the UK but flexibility to work abroad is essential. The right candidates will need to demonstrate a desire to be challenged and to contribute towards the success and growth of the business. 
Candidates will ideally be degree or equivalent, and have demonstrable experience of GIS, technical consultancy and the delivery of tasks to time, quality and cost objectives. 

The successful candidate will have the ability to technically author bid responses and estimate effort required for delivery, be able to demonstrate proficiency in the deployment and configuration of GIS tools, including but not limited to, ESRI ArcGIS Server and GeoServer. Have good problem solving skills, enthusiasm for emerging technologies and willingness to embrace new skills. You must be able to contribute to other elements of the project lifecycle: i.e. software release, support and maintenance and documentation, be a good communicator in the English language, both written and verbal, and with colleagues and clients.  You must be able to demonstrate a drive to deliver, including evidence to support your “delivery focus” and “attention to detail” and be adaptable and flexible. 

Ideally you will also have experience in the development of solutions/prototypes using ASP.NET, C#.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript , AJAX and SOAP, experience in the analysis of faults and development of patches for existing deployed solutions and experience in the development of solutions using one or more of ESRI ArcGIS for SharePoint; ESRI ArcGIS API for Silverlight/WPF; Open source GIS (e.g. OpenLayers and GeoServer); Oracle Spatial; PostgreSQL / PostGIS; Java; OGC standards; Microsoft SharePoint; JQuery.
