Dear All,
This is a reminder that the next Diffusion meeting will be held on the 7th of December in London at
the Gordon Museum, Guy's Campus, King College London.
This year the theme of the meeting will be "Diffusion and Anatomy". The scientific program for the
day will include the following talks:
"Fanning fibres: Dispersion and Tractography" - Matthew Rowe - (CMIC–UCL, London)
"Shape space projections for streamline tractography segmentation" - Greg Parker - ( CUBRIC,
Cardiff)
"Recent developments in data acquisition and modelling of diffusion MRI data for human connectomics"
- Saad Jbabdi/Stam Sotiropoulos - (FMRIB, Oxford)
"New insights into the fiber architecture of the brain with 3D-Polarized Light Imaging" - Marcus
Axer - (Jülich Research Centre, Germany)
The meeting will start at 2pm but I encourage you to arrive a bit early to have a chance to visit
the museum. The Gordon Museum (http://www.kcl.ac.uk/gordon/index.aspx) is the largest medical museum
in the UK with its unique collections of historical specimens and anatomical models.
Please note that due to the clinical and medical nature of this place there are few specimens that
some people might find a bit disturbing.
The venue is very easy to find as it is located in central London just a few metres from London
Bridge railway and underground stations
(http://www.kcl.ac.uk/virtualtour/guyscampus/guysgordonmuseum.aspx).
More information will be soon available also at http://www.diffusion-mri.org.uk/meetings/.
Finally, due to the seating space available (about 80 seats) and to organise the catering, if you
are planning to attend this meeting, please send me an email expressing your interest.
Thank you and I hope to see you at the meeting.
Best wishes,
Flavio
Ps.
As tradition, after the meeting, scientific discussions will continue in one of the closest pub…
