Apologies for cross posting.
Members of the list may be interested in these two posts – one 6 months, one 18 months. These are teaching posts to cover for research buy-out. They have a very short deadline (30th November) – this is not because there is a candidate already identified, but because someone is needed in post by January.
18 months: http://www.liv.ac.uk/working/job_vacancies/academic/A-574966.htm
6 months: http://www.liv.ac.uk/working/job_vacancies/academic/A-581105.htm
A little more information: Whilst these are teaching posts, the successful candidate would be welcomed into the research groups here and university teachers in the past have been integrated into the research community. The posts might be of particular interest to people towards the end/recently completed PhD who are looking for some time to develop publications and teaching experience.
Whilst the remit is fairly broad Human Geography, we are particularly interested in candidates able to offer a social / cultural perspective on one or more of the following aspects of human geography:
• Social identities
• Politics of the Environment
• Green Economies
• Sustainability
• Environmental governance / conservation
• Political activism
• A residential field class
Enquiries should go to the head of Geography and Planning – Prof. Thomas Fischer on 0151 794 3112, email: [log in to unmask]
