Hi Sandra
When I go into Building Blocks > BB Mobile > Settings, I see 'portal module settings'.
There's a message, saying
The Mobile Learning Module is present, but not pushed to users.
Click to push the portal module to all users
then a button that says 'push'.
If I've understood you correctly, this activates a kind of present module on the login page?
When you say you've added your own, do you mean that you've created your own module with your own info in it? Like the one I've created on our login page (www.brunel.ac.uk/blackboard), with the image of the various devices?
If that is the case, then I'm happy in the knowledge that the portal module is just a kind of preset that we'd have no cause to use...
Thanks
A

Are you talking about the module that comes with the install of mobile learn? We had it on for a very short time, but found that it doesn't link to the pages we want to show our users (eg buy your own app for $1.99 - makes it look as if we want them to pay to use). It didn't seem to do anything else, but we didn't look too closely at it due to the unwanted info it included
We just added a module with our own info instead and haven't looked back since (uptake has been fairly good with 4000 new users in the first few weeks of term)

Hi all
Does anybody have the ‘portal module’ in BB Mobile being ‘pushed’ out to users?
If so, what does it do?
We have a portal login page here www.brunel.ac.uk/blackboard<http://www.brunel.ac.uk/blackboard>
Does it display any of the info from that page?
Thanks, best
Alex
