I think it may be a solution in want of a problem and there isn't enough proof of concept or sufficient reasons yet to take it forward as an AT solution.
There's lots of haptic projects on the FAST database but they have not led to products/devices and I am not sure that was the intention of much of the research in the area.
Just my tuppence worth. I do think it has enormous potential but am unsure of the client group, etc it would benefit.

From the responses it appears that there has not been a high degree of implementation into the use of haptics and Assistive Technologies.
For those who have used haptic devices, what were the implications and considerations when selecting the device?
