Dear all,
What education materials and supplies would you recommend?
Derbyshire Record Office is shortly due to move back into our refurbished and extended premises, and one of our new meeting rooms will also be used as an outreach/education room. We are trying to design the space in a child-friendly manner, but that in such a way that it can be used by non-school groups as well. Fortunately, we have a little bit of money to spend and I am currently putting together a list of equipment and materials that we would like the room to be equipped with when we re-open at the old site. However, we are rather new to working with schools, particularly with having them come to the Record Office and I was hoping some of you might be able to make some suggestions about any tools, equipment, furniture, materials or other supplies that you have found invaluable when accommodating school groups.
Any help/advice very much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Becky
