For normalization per se, I think that the standard DARTEL approach
would work well (i.e. a template based on the subjects in your study).
However, the tissue class segmentation will likely be more accurate if
you use priors (tissue probability maps) that are more specific to
your sample. How much this matters probably depends on the specific
ages you have. However, I would recommend having a look at the
