Well at last we can stop having to work with that complicated and difficult stuff like inequity, discrimination and rights.

So equality is out and ‘fairness’ is in. But at least we will have a ‘diverse’ Council but not ‘diversity’ as a policy! It is clearly now unfair for individual (‘personal’) majority tax payers to subsidize minority (community) needs. Money has to be re-directed in accordance.

Subject: Equality and Diversity
David, this is such an obscure, absurd, fatuous and ridiculous change and will ensure that nobody will know what it is or what it does. Why don't you call it the 'Health Inequalities and Human Rights Board' ? - accessible, obvious and easy to understand and support! You are undermining the credibility of the DH and the NHSCB by this name change and damaging the drive for equality, diversity and human rights.

Personal, Fair and Diverse Council to launch as part of the NHS Commissioning Board
The NHS Equality and Diversity Council (EDC), chaired by Sir David Nicholson, chief executive of the NHS Commissioning Board (NHS CB), has announced that it is to change its name to the Personal, Fair and Diverse Council.
The name change has been agreed in response to the council’s new responsibilities for health inequalities and human rights as part of the Health and Social Care Act 2012 and supports its wider role to act on behalf of the whole health and social care system.
The choice of name mirrors the vision at the heart of the work carried out by the EDC, including its successful Personal, Fair and Diverse Champions campaign, which is run on behalf of the council by NHS Employers. The name also promotes the values of the NHS Constitution and the creation of fairer, more inclusive workplaces and health and care services for everyone.
