 You may be interested in the two following events that will run on the same day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.


VITAE LONDON HUB TRAIN THE TRAINER SESSION
The Vitae London hub is pleased to offer this train the trainer session on the psychological wellbeing of researchers where inspirational speakers will give the participants an approach to coaching and counselingIf you are concerned about the wellbeing of researchers in your institution or sometimes feel uncomfortable dealing with deeply grounded emotions from those you are meeting on one to one sessions. Then this event is for you

The psychological wellbeing of researchers15 November 2012

 Registration is from 09.30 until 10.00 when the event will begin.  The event is open to staff supporting the professional and career development of researchers.  The event is not intended for postgraduate researchers themselves.
 The programme will include the following speakers:

Fiona Denney  (Vitae London Hub Coordinator and King's College London)
Elaine Walsh (Imperial College University of London)
Anna Price (King's College London)
Gisele Dias (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro/Visiting Fellow King's College London)

Q and A panel involving all speakers
This half day session will finish a sandwich lunch and plenty of time to network.  You must pre-register for the event which will be free of charge to participants.

How to engage PIs and supervisors with the researcher development agenda

Researchers often talk about the difficulty of attending researcher development activities due to the lack of awareness and understanding of their PIs and supervisors.

Find out how you can:

change their perception
show them what is in it for them and
engage them with the agenda.

Registration  is from12.30 until 13.30 (including a sandwich lunch) after which the event will begin.  The event is open to staff supporting the professional and career development of researchers.  The event is not intended for postgraduate researchers themselves.
