RDAP13, the fourth annual Research Data Access and Preservation Summit, takes place April 4-5, 2013 in Baltimore, MD.
We are currently accepting proposals (max. 300 words) for panel presentations, interactive posters, and lightning talks. Themes for RDAP13 were selected by this year’s planning committee with input from previous years’ attendees and RDAP community members.
Institutional approaches/IRs and domain repositories
Data citation and altmetrics
Global scientific data infrastructure
Linked data and metadata
Data use and reuse–sharing and open data success stories
Submit your 300 word max summary or abstract, along with any supplementary documentation, for Panel Presentations by November 21. Submissions for Interactive Posters Session and Lightning Talks are due December 15.

The University of Exeter is delighted to announce our programme of events to celebrate International Open Access Week<http://as.exeter.ac.uk/library/resources/openaccess/openaccessweek/> from 22nd to 26th October 2012.
Our keynote speakers, Cameron Neylon, Advocacy Director at Public Library of Science<http://www.plos.org/>, and Alma Swan, Director of European Advocacy for SPARC<http://arl.org/sparc/about/staff/Swan.shtml>, will be joined by NERC<http://www.nerc.ac.uk/>'s Mark Thorley, figshare<http://figshare.com/>'s founder Mark Hahnel, the UKDA<http://www.data-archive.ac.uk/> on Managing Research Data for the Social Sciences and Brian Kelly<http://ukwebfocus.wordpress.com/> who will present on Open Practices for the Connected Researcher as well as a variety of other exciting events which will take place on our Streatham, St Luke's and Tremough campuses. We have put together a special Open Access edition of Research Speed Updating<http://www.exeter.ac.uk/research/events/speedupdating/> and will be holding workshops, presentations and drop-in sessions on how to upload research papers onto Open Access, Open Access and the REF, and Data Protection, Data Storing and Sharing amongst others.
