The snapshot idea actually dates back to the Kinsella years, so I recall he suggested that on one particular day - Wed (a long world day) - poets from all the latitudes and longitudes could send in a 'snap' of what they were thinking, seeing, doing, dreaming etc on that day. It's morphed a bit since then but, I think it still has that sense.
Some of my snaps have been published hither and thith over the years and I think others have as well.
