Hi all
I get a reply to most things but it can depend on the nature of the
problem as to whether its the same day or 6 months later. We are also
still reporting all problems (plus I'm forwarding some of the
correspondence from Lis-Med) to our SHA Librarian as requested a while
back. I don't know if it makes any difference though.

How do you manage to get a reply at all? I haven't had a reply to
anything for about a year and a half so I've given up contacting them.

I'm just wondering how all of you guys manage to get a personal response
from Contact Us. I contact them all the time and all I ever get is the
bog standard "we have noted your request....blah, blah, blah"

I'm in and using HDAS at the moment, the question is, how many search
terms will I manage to put in to the database before I get a time out or
ERROR screens? I reckon it will be fine until I start looking at
results, then it will die on page 3 of the results and I will quit and
use OVID instead.
Still at least I'm singing "Oh happy days" in my head.

Yes, it's the same with us here. I was told the following yesterday by
NHS Evidence Technical Support, having contacted "contact us":
"Unfortunately, as we have been unable to replicate the issue on our
network, it has been difficult to isolate the cause of the timeouts. Our
developers are in the process of testing a possible fix which we hope to
deploy as soon as it has passed the testing process. We are working as
hard as we can to get it resolved but like I say, it depends upon
passing testing, being deployed and then waiting to see if it does
actually improve the situation for users getting the problem."

It's a lovely late October evening, the birds are singing above the
rumble of traffic: just right for a bit of EMBASE searching.
But HDAS has other ideas - I don't seem able to get beyond the log-in
page.
Anyone else having problems? I keep getting tracking or server error
pages. It was working OK an hour and a half ago.
