Role description: We are looking to recruit an experienced Librarian to be responsible for the day to day management and development of the Library electronic resources, digital content and associated acquisition and system functions.
You will support the development and dissemination of best practice in electronic resource management and be the first point of contact for enquiries and user support.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of developing and effectively managing electronic library resources and delivering support to Library users.
A Postgraduate qualification (or equivalent) in Library and Information Sciences and an understanding of licensing for different types of electronic resources is also essential for this post.
Contract: Permanent

Salary: 27,612 pounds per annum plus benefits
Knowledge, skills and experience:
* Postgraduate qualification in Library and Information Sciences recognised by CILIP
* Post-qualification professional experience gained in a research or academic library
* Experience of developing and managing electronic library resources effectively
* Experience of developing and delivering training and support for Library users
* Understanding of Licensing for different types of electronic resources
* Understanding of the legal and technical issues in using and delivering electronic content
* Experience of obtaining, compiling and analysing data usage
* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes in technology that impact on e-resource delivery
* Ability to lead and work in small teams
* Excellent communication skills
* Relevant technology skills for managing electronic content
* Ability to prioritise and organise workload to achieve agreed deadlines
* Strong problem solving skills
