This summer I undertook a long-overdue revision of the books in our closed access area and, assisted by some very valuable advice from staff in other libraries, wrote new criteria for adding items to this collection. Using these guidelines I was able to transfer quite a few books back into the main open access collection and I wondered if anyone else had conducted a similar exercise recently. I'll write up our project for SCONUL Focus and would be very interested to hear about changes to policy decisions on restricted material, or just some funny anecdotes about the contents of your "locked case".
