I talked to Matthew Mottram from SNO+ on Friday and storage was one of
the things that came up.
There are a couple of questions:
1) How to set permissions so that users don't accidentally delete data:
My thoughts: Do as ATLAS do and have a space token that is writable by
production users, and readable by normal users.
2) How to stop normal users filling up the space.
My thoughts: Difficult this one. Having a separate user writable
spacetoken is probably a start. Then either automated cleanup of this
and something akin to ATLASLOCALGROUPDISK and appropriate tools, or just
peer pressure and monitoring scripts that will publish disk space by
user on a site wide or global basis. That only needs the scripts to do
this to be written of course...
THoughts, and what have I missed?
