You will be joining a well established and experienced team in one of our larger offices.
We are currently recruiting for a Graduate GIS Technician, joining the expanding GIS team within our Environment and Planning sector, to be based in our Basingstoke office. Your main responsibilities will include data capture, spatial analysis and feature attribution. You will also assist with -
• Creation of map outputs,
• Scanning and geo-referencing of images,
• Translation/conversion of data (including hard-copy maps, topographic maps, site plans, electronic maps, and GPS data) into a common format.
You will be degree educated in GIS or a related subject and will have experience of ArcGIS v10. It would also be beneficial to have experience of GPS/mobile data capture, other GIS software (i.e. MapInfo), AutoCAD and Python/ArcObjects. You will need to work with various mapping, imagery and vector datasets both in the UK and Globally as well as spatial analyst and 3D analyst. A good working knowledge of Microsoft office will also be expected.
