1.CORPORATE PSYCHOPATHS?
Middlesex University Research Seminar
The next Leadership, Work and Organisations research seminar will be on ‘Corporate Psychopaths’. The details are as follows:
Title: Corporate Psychopaths Research: Foundations, Gaps and Areas for Future Investigation
Date: Thursday 15th November, 4.30-6pm
Room: C219-C220 (boardroom), College Building, Hendon Campus, The Burroughs, London NW4 4BT (nearest tube Hendon Central)
Speaker: Professor Clive Boddy
The seminar will focus on who Corporate Psychopaths are and how their presence can be measured within organisations via a number of different psychopathy measures. Current knowledge will be examined in terms of theoretical expectations and empirically examined behaviour via surveys of managers in Australia and Britain. Gaps between theoretical expectations and proven behaviour will be presented as possibly fruitful areas for future research. The seminar will explain why Corporate Psychopaths can be expected to influence all areas of management and organisational behaviour whereas research into this is only at an emergent stage among management researchers.
