Sure sure, David. Though Leibniz saw binary codes in the I Ching, I
doubt that the compilers of it and the endless commentators on it saw
more than the yin and the yang of it. (Leibniz also solved the riddle in
the text of The Alchemical Wedding of Christian Rosencruz by--nobody
knows who.) Speaking of the yinyang, I'm off to teach religious Taoism
in the graduate school here. Today we're having presentations on--you
guessed it.
We have two Chinese students--one writing about the connection between
Buddhist sutras and early Taoist texts, and another talking about the
late Taoist commentators on--you know what.
David, you know very well what we're going to discuss, obviously, so we
needn't go on. Or should we? The rest of the message could be in
code, but we prefer invisible ink....how about you?
