The Bank of England is looking to recruit an Assistant Records Manager to work within the Bank Records Management Team, part of the Archive, Information & Records Group within the ISTD (Information, Systems and Technology Division). This new position is being created to support the expanding responsibilities of the team attributable to the transfer of the Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) from the Financial Services Authority (FSA) into the Bank.
The primary responsibility of this role will be to manage the day-to-day running of a service to retrieve and return paper records for the PRA function which are stored off-site with an external provider. In addition, the role will provide support to the current Assistant Records Manager in the running of the Bank’s on-site records stored located in the vaults at Threadneedle Street.
In dispensing both of these responsibilities, the role will require extensive use of the Bank’s Records Management system – Autonomy Records Manager (ARM).
