Dear All
There are still a few places available on both of the IOP outreach training days being held this autumn.
Doing Outreach is a one-day workshop which aims to give physicists an introduction to physics outreach and enable participants to develop their own outreach and public engagement ideas. It is particularly suitable for physicists who do not have much experience in this area.
The workshop is free of charge and is being held twice in November:
7 November 2012: Doing Outreach (Institute of Physics, London)
A one-day introduction to public engagement and outreach activities for physicists wanting to build confidence and find out how to get involved.
21 November 2012: Doing Outreach (Institute of Physics, London)
A one-day introduction to public engagement and outreach activities for physicists wanting to build confidence and find out how to get involved.
As both workshops are being held in London, limited travel bursaries to help with travel and/or accommodation costs are available to Institute of Physics members. (Travel bursaries must be applied for in advance of attendance.)
For more information about the content of the workshops, the travel bursaries and to book your place at one of the workshop days please visit www.iop.org/outreachworkshops.
Please do pass this email on to any colleagues who you think may be interested.
Thanks
