Hi Chris,
We've not long started doing this.
We cover the books with an A4 sheet to conceal what the book is.
Books are filed alphabetically by surname but the cover only displays the first 4 letters of the surname and the user's ID number

Do those who operate this system file the books by reader name, barcode number, or a combination?
We are worried that filing by name infringes data protection legislation, but think filing by student number or barcode might make them more difficult to find and lead to more flicking through the shelve looking for titles.
Also, do you use wrappers or not?
Chris
