The British Library Preservation Advisory Centre and Archives & Records Association (UK and Ireland) are running a one-day workshop 'Advocacy for collection care' on 8th November 2012.
The workshop provides examples, through three different case studies, of how people have communicated a range of collection care issues. Each speaker will talk about what they sought to communicate, their audience and the successes, as well as the challenges, of getting their message across.
Marie Owens, Head of Public Affairs, Archives and Records Association (UK & Ireland) and Susan Adams, Head of Advocacy, British Library will provide tips on ensuring your message is fit for purpose and evaluating the success of your communications.
Cost: £100 + VAT (£60+ VAT for ARA members)
