Hi
The latest issue of HEPL is now online. This is a special issue, relating to end of life care in the UK and the US. The issue begins with a perspective by Rudolf Klein that compares and contrasts end of life care in the two countries. There are then articles on paying for end of life drugs in the NHS (by Kalipso Chalkidou), on valuing end of life cancer drugs in the US (by Corinna Sorenson), and on some challenges to using economic evaluation in end of life care (by Charles Normand).
The volume continues with an article on barriers to accessing end of life care (by Rachael Addicott), on the overuse of care at the end of life in the US (by Dan Callahan), on end of life politics in the US (by Larry Brown), and on the institutional realities of US dementia care (by Michael Gusmano). The issue finishes with a perspective on dementia and advance directives, by Jo Wolff.
The volume can be found at: http://journals.cambridge.org/action/displayJournal?jid=HEP
I hope you find it of interest.
Very best,
Adam
