Dear SPMers,
we acquired fMRI data from a rare patient with psychogenic seizures during and after an actual episode. To identify altered activity associated with the psychogenic seizure we compared data from the patient during symptoms and after recovery. Results look interesting and I would like to further investigate if the actual seizure is associated with altered effective connectivity using Granger causality (e.g. by GMAC).
However, I’m not quite sure if Granger causality would allow the direct comparison of two datasets from a single patient using a repeated measures design. Does the application of Granger causality require specific properties of the data to be analyzed?
Thanks in advance & best regards,
Ben
