Wonderful.
My experience of the Information Chihuahua is that I have often had to teach their complaints handling staff about the law the administer when submitting a complaint. I foresee nothing whatsoever coming of this. I have never expected any cookie prosecutions, either, despite the Chihuahua being able to initiate prosecutions in its own right. Before I retired I earned my living as a Data Privacy consultant and helped folk comply with the law and still conduct effective marketing campaigns
Even so we will keep our cookie widget on http://dartmouthmuseum.org/ because it does us no harm. It does us no good either, but it does us no harm.
All that's happened with this half-baked law is that people have become blind to seeing cookie acceptance widgets. It's the same as no-one seeing the man sweeping the streets. It's invisible.
That reminds me, I must take our street sweeping chap a cup of tea when he's outside my house next. He truly IS invisible.
