I was listening to a piece on the radio yesterday about the effect of the Olympics on retail, and this seemed to mirror what we are seeing in museums with a dip in footfall and revenue.
What I found really interesting was the digital dip, with online retailers saying that they had less traffic to their websites in the evenings of the Olympics, as people gathered around their televisions to watch the games.
I wondered if museum websites saw a similar blip during the Oympics, how do your figures stack up against the same period in 2011 and 2010?
Just being nosey really…
