I have previously worked as a junior researcher at the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece and as a research assistant in the energy economics department of University of Macedonia. I hold a BSc degree in economic sciences from University of Macedonia, Greece and a MSc in Health Economics from City University in London. After completing my masters in Health Economics I did my internship within the Signal Processing Group of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Imperial College in London. The work involved the statistical analysis of the outcomes of a number of algorithms for the detection of suspicious areas in mammograms. Currently I am completing my internship at UBC where I have been involved in a number of tasks. Some of my duties are: running literature reviews in scientific literature databases (i.e. Pubmed EMBASE) and grey literature, extracting data from relevant articles, creating evidence and data extraction tables, reviewing abstracts for inclusion/exclusion in targeted and systematic literature reviews, assisting in primary data collection, assisting with analyses and report writing. I also had HTA training. Finally, I was responsible for creating a database of 350 databases (Library that links UBC projects to the databases).
