The Debian source package has been update as well. Data packages
(MNI152, atlases, FEEDS, ...) are already available from NeuroDebian.
Binary packages for a long list of Debian and Ubuntu releases are
currently building and will become available within the next 24h.
Please note, depending on which NeuroDebian repository mirror you are
using, it might take a few hours more before FSL becomes available to
you.
The FSL 5.0 packages are co-installable with the FSL 4.1 series to allow
for smooth upgrades. Please note that if you installed 'fsl' meta
package (not only 'fsl-4.1'), the default FSL version on your system
will become 5.0. If you do not have the meta package installed, you need
to install the new 'fsl-5.0' package separately.
Afterwards, you can switch FSL versions on demand by sourcing the
respective config file.
. /etc/fsl/5.0/fsl.sh
or
. /etc/fsl/4.1/fsl.sh
If you source
. /etc/fsl/fsl.sh
(only with the 'fsl' meta package installed)
you'll get the default version of FSL on your system.
As this is a new major release with substantial changes, there is an
increased chance of problems. The Debian package has been checked with
the FEEDS test and appear to operate correctly (both local and on a cluster).
However, the FEEDS suite doesn't cover 100% of FSL's functionality. So
please test carefully. If you observe problems/strange behavior, please
report a bug.
Enjoy,
Michael
