This year's BASEES postgraduate workshop will be taking place in Glasgow at the Centre for Contemporary Arts on September 28th. The workshop theme is "Intersectionality in the Study of Central and East Europe". The full programme can be found here:

The workshop itself is part of a wider event titled "Translating Russian and East European Cultures". This event (funded by the AHRC with addiitonal funding from CRCEES and BASEES) includes a major retrospective of Slovenian artists Marina Gržinić and Aina Šmid's video work curated by Katarzyna Kosmala, reflections on 'Approaches to community engagement through art' by Brendan Jackson, music by the Welsh-Estonian music collaboration SILD.
