Since its inception in 2001, the School of Population Health has
established itself as a leading centre of public health teaching and
research that, by influencing health care reform both in Australia and
abroad, can improve the lives of people around the world. The School is
one of seven within The University of Queensland's Faculty of Health
Sciences.
The role
The successful applicant will contribute to the teaching and research
activities in the field of Epidemiology in the School and the
University. They will work with the Head of School and the Head of
Epidemiology and Biostatistics, as well as other staff members in the
field of Epidemiology and the School to develop and implement the
School's strategic plan, and to contribute to the development of course
material with the guidance of senior academic staff.
The person
The applicant should possess a PhD and MD or equivalent, and have
substantial post-doctoral experience in epidemiology and public health.
Applicants will also demonstrate teaching skills at undergraduate and
postgraduate level, and should also have a strong desire to develop a
successful research career in Epidemiology.
Remuneration
This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment at Academic Level C for
three years. The remuneration package will be in the range $97,829.59 to
$112,803.29 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to
17% (total package will be in the range $114,460.62 to $131,979.85 p.a.).
